Keep an eye out for the flock of famous wild parrots that live in this magical area. Telegraph Hill is a fantastic area for walking. The Filbert Steps are a fun way to get up the hill—and get in some exercise. As you climb past secret gardens and hidden homes that cling to the hillside, be sure to take a minute to catch your breath and drink in the stunning views of the bay. At the top of the stairway, you’ll find Coit Tower with its panoramic vistas, gardens and captivating murals. This neighborhood of high-end homes is also close to great restaurants and nightlife.
