Lower Pacific Heights

There’s never a lack of fun things to do in Lower Pacific Heights. This vibrant, racially-mixed neighborhood includes single-family homes, as well as apartments and condos, housed in lovely Victorians and Edwardians around California Street and Geary Boulevard. Wherever you choose to settle, you’ll be steps away from upscale boutiques, a huge array of dining options and friendly neighborhood taverns.

Lower Pac Heights--as locals often call it--is also home to Japantown. Here, you’ll find Asian shops and restaurants galore, Karaoke bars and the Peace Plaza. If you’re a movie buff, you’ll love Japantown’s luxurious Dine-In Kabuki 8 theater. And each spring, Japantown hosts the annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival, one of the largest celebrations of Asian culture in the country.

Lower Pac Heights also borders the historic Fillmore District. Come the first weekend in July, Fillmore Street teems with happy revelers grooving to dozens of top bands during the popular Fillmore Street Jazz Festival.
